2. Cashier

Summary of Job Description: Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, as well as monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area. They proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized. A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.

Summary of Job Description: The concession worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Summary of Job Description: Asbury Healthcare owns and manages Senior Living facilities across the greater Chicago area. We currently have four stand-alone Supportive Living apartment buildings and will be adding three more by the end of summer. The locations are Bridgeview, Chicago (60640, 60651, 60616), Gurnee, Kankakee, & Maywood. Supportive Living for these seniors gives them the opportunity to live independently in a safe and responsive environment. Supportive Living for our nursing staff gives them the opportunity to really bond with their residents. The work is not as ‘heavy lifting’ as in a skilled setting, so they are not as physically exhausted after a full day of work. We run 12-hour shifts so students are able to work a day or two a week without cutting into their school schedules. But how can a C.N.A. work as a C.N.A. before they obtain their certification? They are allowed to work in a nurse aide capacity while they are in school as long as they are not doing anything they haven’t learned in class yet. The regulation allows them to work for 180 days prior to taking their competencies and testing. This is great for the students because they get to experience hands-on day-to-day healthcare. We encourage internal growth, so if a C.N.A. is on its way to a career in nursing, we will offer them a position in line with their license and training. We grow our own managers and directors and encourage our staff to continue their growth within. Asbury Healthcare feels it is essential to certify existing (non-nursing) staff if they are wanting to begin their hands-on nursing journey or in the event that a need should arise. Since our residents live independently, Supportive Living is staffed a little leaner than a nursing home setting.
