Summary of Job Description: Assists with the treatment of patients as required by dentist present and within the state guidelines limiting functions of dental auxiliaries. Maintain records, forms, correspondence and other data in orderly and retrievable condition. Acts as translator for clinic staff when necessary. Communicates pertinent information to dental staff so as to allow for continuity of treatment and daily operations. Maintains all binders and check list for Environment of Care. Assures all dental codes and procedures are correct and entered in (Dentrix). Discusses the treatment plan with the patient.
Schedules all follow up visits associated to complete the treatment plan and the next recall visit. Acts as a backup for Patient Benefits Advocate when necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Clinical Director of Oral Health, the Supervisor-Oral Health, Director, Oral Health, DA Team Leader and the Dentist.
